Just make sure you go through the list of essentials for your summer vacation. All are things you will be glad you packed when you open up your suitcase after the flight.
We’ve all gone through it! As soon as you arrive all excited, the one thing you thought you packed, is missing! We’re not speaking of absolute essentials like travel tickets and hotel bookings, it’s mundane things which you may do without, but would make life easier during your trip and much more enjoyable!

And now, here’s a checklist for travel essentials for women in summer.
- Sunglasses: An absolute essential for summer vacations! We’re sure you’ll all agree. If you’re planning to play in the water for beach holidays, or go trekking for hillside holidays, get cheap sunglasses, instead of your best designer ones.
- A good book: You would realize that the best place to read books is a holiday, trust us. Even if your iternary is packed, your best company would be a book, when you are back to your hotel after a tiring day or when flights are delayed. Remember, a book will always be best friend!
- Pouches/plastic covers: A must have for packing mundane stuff! Use them to pack toiletries, wet beach wear, etc. A resealable plastic bag is also good for bringing your phone to the beach.
- Flip flops: Flip flops are the best footwear for holidays, they are supremely comfortable for long walks, beaches or just frolicking on your cold and slippery hotel floors. Don’t forget to pack them for any holiday especially summer vacations.
- Head/earphones: The best way to relax is to listen to music, right? All you music lovers out there, get your headphones so you can relax with your music in private, if you have nothing better to do.
- Basic Medication: A travelers nightmare, really! That splitting headache, stomach bug or bad cold, don’t let health issues spoil your holiday. Always carry basic OTC medicines to address stomach bugs, colds, nose blocks, fevers or unexpected falls.
- A thermos/water bottle: The number one reason for many stomach ailments on a holiday is water. So always make sure you carry clean water in a bottle so you can stay hydrated even when you explore remote places on your holiday. And for those travelling on board flight, do you know holidaymakers can freeze water to get it through airport security? Yeas any frozen water/juices is allowed through security check.
- Hand Sanitizer: There’s no need to explain this really! Public restrooms, dirty alleys, flea markets, you get the drift, right?
