Take a uberMOTO bike ride in Gurgaon for as low as Rs.15. Here’s how.
Uber, one of India’s largest cab aggregator services launched uberMOTO in Bangalore recently, amid concerns of growing traffic jams. UberMOTO helps you take bike rides over short distances and can be booked in a matter of seconds. The uberMOTO is similar to booking an Uber cab and helps you get these rides at nominal rates. After Bangalore, it was the turn of Gurgaon where UberMOTO was launched last week.
This facility has been introduced by Uber due to the fact that bikes have lower operating costs and increased efficiency alongside helping cut congestions on the roads. With just the tap of a button, you can get a motorbike ride in minutes. Using bike taxis, you can cut traffic and congestion at no extra cost to taxpayers, according to Uber.
How to get an uberMOTO ride
- If you are in Bangalore or Gurgaon, you get the uberMOTO option on your Uber app. Enter your pickup location and request a ride.
- Just as with Uber cabs, the drivers’ details are shown right away – name, photo including the details of the motorbike.
- Since helmets are mandatory in most Indian cities, wear the helmet given by your uberMOTO driver and zip off.
- Similar to Uber cabs, you have GPS tracking and the ability to share trip details with family and friends if it is required.
At the end, you can pay through cash or any UBER payment options. Are you a frequent bike user? You can also sign up with Uber on their site to become a scooter/bike partner and contribute your share towards reducing traffic congestion and pollution.
